The server talks to the Acronis API and keeps a local copy of tenant, agent and licence-consumption data. Cross-tenant rollups come from the server itself, since a single API call will not return them. It runs over stdio on your own machine and needs no code from you.
Two binaries land in your user bin path: acronis-cli for direct queries and acronis-mcp for the agent. Claude, Codex and Cowork pick up the skill from SKILL.md in that directory. Claude Desktop users can open the .mcpb bundle through Settings > Extensions instead. Authenticate after install, then run acronis-cli --help to see what is available.
Do not start the HTTP transport (--transport http) in this build. It ships without a password, binds to every network interface, and a page you open in a browser can reach it. That is why ChatGPT, Microsoft 365 Copilot and the Gemini app are on hold — each of them needs the remote path. Stay on stdio, and tear down any tunnel you set up for a remote agent.
