HubSpot MCP — Claude Code MCP server: Sales Hub access
An unofficial MCP server and skill for the HubSpot API: your agent reads CRM objects, builds property-change-history reports and runs cross-object queries offline.
Open on GitHubWhat HubSpot MCP does
The server covers HubSpot Sales Hub features and adds two things other HubSpot tools lack: offline cross-object queries and property-change-history reporting. It runs on your laptop, the code is open.
The installer drops two binaries into your user bin path: hubspot-cli for the command line and hubspot-mcp for the server itself. Claude, Codex and Cowork pick up the skill through SKILL.md. You then need an access token from your HubSpot portal: HUBSPOT_ACCESS_TOKEN=<value> hubspot-cli doctor verifies the credentials before anything touches real data.
Skip HTTP mode (--transport http), localhost included. This build validates a token but still lacks caps on request size and response time. That same mode is what remote agents such as ChatGPT and Copilot Studio need, and it is paused for now. Stick to the default stdio transport. The MCP tools write with your credentials, so grant the narrowest scope that works.
What it helps with
- pull deals and contacts out of HubSpot into a local report
- build a report from a deal's property change history
- run cross-object CRM queries without shipping data to the cloud
- verify the access token before touching live data
- wire HubSpot into an agent over stdio without editing JSON
Example prompts for the agent
- Check portal access:
HUBSPOT_ACCESS_TOKEN=<value> hubspot-cli doctor - Show the property change history for this deal over the last month

Questions about HubSpot MCP
How do I install HubSpot MCP in Claude Code?
Paste the install prompt from the README: it runs bash <(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Servosity/msp-skills/main/skills/hubspot/install.sh) on a POSIX shell or iwr -useb https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Servosity/msp-skills/main/skills/hubspot/install.ps1 | iex in Windows PowerShell. Then authenticate per the README and check hubspot-cli --help.
What does HubSpot MCP do?
It gives your agent HubSpot Sales Hub features, offline cross-object queries and property-change-history reports. Everything runs locally, no code needed.
Why should I avoid HTTP mode?
In this build it checks a token but sets no ceiling on request size or response time, so keep it off even on localhost. Use stdio for remote agents.
