NeAntik — a free antidetect browser for Mac
Persistent profiles with their own cookies and their own proxy. No sign-up, no cloud sync.
macOS 14+ Apple Silicon Public Alpha 0.7.29 DMG 212.5 MB · ZIP 188.2 MB · files are served by GitHub Releases
The file went to your downloads. Next: open the DMG and drag NeAntik into Applications.
This is an app for a Mac. You can't install it from a phone — there is a "copy link" button at the bottom of the page.
Create — open — work
In 0.4.0 the usual path is down to three actions. The manual settings are still there, just off the main path.
-
Create
Press "Create profile". A name is already suggested and you can replace it. If you need a proxy, paste it on one line: the format is parsed locally, and the password goes to Keychain.
-
Open
"Create and open" saves the profile and starts the bundled Chromium. Next to it sits "Create only", for when you don't need to open it yet.
-
Work
Cookies, logins and site data stay in that profile. For a running profile the main button is "Open window", which brings its window back; stopping it is a separate command.
- Connection type, host, port, username and a separate proxy check live under "Connection settings".
- You can write a note while creating a profile; in the list it shows next to it.
- New profiles open a blank page. For profiles that already exist, the data and the start pages don't change.
- If the proxy is unreachable, the profile doesn't quietly fall back to a direct connection: the launch stops, and the error suggests something specific to do.
- The profile is saved before launch, so a failed launch doesn't delete it.
This is a public alpha. Bugs happen, and the app doesn't claim it can fix every problem by itself: it shows the cause and suggests an action.
What the NeAntik antidetect browser does
An antidetect browser runs several independent browser profiles on one computer: each has its own cookies, storage, history and its own connection, and sites see them as different environments.
Ordinary browsers have persistent profiles too. The difference is that here there can be dozens of them, they are created and launched from a single list, and the proxy is set per profile. NeAntik does exactly that and promises nothing beyond it: anonymity it does not give you. More about the term — in the AffPapa glossary.
Persistent isolated profiles
Each profile has its own data folder: cookies, storage, history and account logins. All of it survives restarts, and profiles don't see each other.
A connection per profile
Direct, HTTP and HTTPS with username and password, SOCKS5 without authorisation. Before a launch through a proxy the browser starts with a matching timezone and language. Passwords sit in the macOS Keychain.
Local, no account, no subscription
Profiles are stored in Application Support on your Mac. There is no sign-up, no paid plan, no cloud sync of profiles and no product telemetry.
Bundled Chromium 156.0.8078.12
Our own arm64 build with Metal, inside the app. An installed Chrome is not needed and not used; the engine updates together with NeAntik.
Order among profiles
Folders, tags, notes, search, pinning, archive and duplication. Bulk creation of up to 100 profiles from a proxy list, with no network requests while they are created.
Open manager, verifiable build
The manager sources are published under MPL-2.0. Release files are signed with Developer ID, notarized by Apple, and each one has a published SHA-256.
- Direct — the profile goes out straight, with no proxy.
- SOCKS5 — without authorisation: such a connection has no username or password.
- HTTP / HTTPS — with username and password.
- The password sits in the macOS Keychain, not in the profile file.
- The route is prepared again before every profile launch; an unreachable proxy is not replaced by a direct connection.
Who needs this
Several work accounts
Affiliate marketing, ad accounts, social networks, marketplaces. Each account lives in its own profile with its own cookies and its own proxy.
Client accounts
Client accounts don't mix with each other or with your personal browser. A profile can be duplicated, renamed and filed into a folder.
Development and checks
Test accounts, a look at a site through a different route, search results without your own history. For QA and SEO that is a separate sandbox for every case.
Profiles are a work tool, not a way around platform rules. NeAntik does not get past captchas, bans or antifraud; the rules of a particular service stay the user's responsibility.
What NeAntik doesn't do
A short list — and there isn't one item on it we aren't ready to stand behind.
- It gives no anonymity. Sites can still link sessions by account, IP, cookies, fingerprint, language and behaviour.
- It does not get past captchas, bans, antifraud or platform rules.
- Public alpha: strict consistency across every fingerprint surface is not claimed, and the interface changes between versions.
- Google Safe Browsing is off in the bundled engine: links are not checked for phishing or malicious downloads.
- macOS 14 or later and Apple Silicon only. Windows, Linux and Intel Macs are not supported.
- No teamwork, no cloud sync, no automation and no API: one Mac, one user.

Installing
- Download the DMG from the v0.7.29 release page.
- Open the DMG and drag NeAntik into Applications.
- Open NeAntik. The build is signed and notarized, so Gatekeeper lets it through normally.
- Create your first profile: the name is already suggested, the proxy is optional.
Updating
- Quit NeAntik and the windows of its profiles.
- Open the new DMG and move NeAntik into Applications, agreeing to replace the previous app.
- Open NeAntik. Existing profiles, notes and start pages are kept; proxy passwords stay in Keychain.
- Don't delete the profile folders in Application Support: they hold the site data.
Profile folder: ~/Library/Application Support/NeAntik/
If macOS reports damage or a problem with the signature
- Make sure the file was downloaded from the release page in the AffPapa/neantik repository.
- Download the file again: an interrupted download breaks the signature.
- Compare the file's SHA-256 with the sum on this page and in the release.
We don't advise turning Gatekeeper off, stripping quarantine or clicking past the warning: that isn't a fix, it is a way to run a file whose origin has not been confirmed. If the sum matches and the system still won't open the app, write to Issues.
Bugs and suggestions — in the repository Issues. Without any secrets: a report must not carry proxy addresses and passwords, profile names, cookies or the contents of Keychain.
How NeAntik differs from an ordinary browser and from the alternatives
Every antidetect browser solves one task: splitting work sessions into independent profiles. What differs is the platforms, where the profiles are stored, how you pay and what team features exist.
An ordinary browser, incognito and NeAntik
Ordinary browser
One profile for every tab
Incognito
One temporary session for every window
NeAntik
Many persistent profiles, each with its own proxy

- All six products publish separate builds for Intel and Apple Silicon.
- A separate local-only mode was not found on the official pages of Vision, GoLogin and Octo Browser; for Dolphin {anty} local storage is the only option on the free plan.
- AdsPower gives the length of its trial differently across its own pages (3 and 7 days), so the table leaves it out. For Octo Browser no free plan for the desktop version was found.
- "No" in the open source row means the terms of use forbid extracting the sources; GoLogin has an open SDK and AdsPower a local API, while the app itself is closed.
- We don't quote prices: for some of these services they depend on the billing period and the chosen currency, and any figure here would be out of date.

In English these products are often written in lower case and in one word — gologin, dolphin anty, multilogin, octo browser, adspower, vision — and it is the same programs.
A Vision Browser alternative for Apple Silicon
NeAntik solves the same class of task as Vision Browser, but it is built for Apple Silicon only: its own Chromium for arm64 with Metal, a native app without Electron, no account and no subscription. Windows, Linux and the teamwork Vision has are not here.
Which antidetect browser to choose for a Mac
- Where the profiles live: on your disk only, in the provider's cloud, or either.
- Whether an account is required and what works without the internet.
- Which platforms you need: NeAntik runs only on a Mac with Apple Silicon.
- Whether you need a team: NeAntik has no roles, no profile sharing and no cloud sync.
- Whether you can verify the build yourself: developer signature, Apple notarization and a checksum.
Questions and answers about the antidetect browser for Mac
On profile isolation, privacy, installing it, and what the product does not promise.
What is an antidetect browser?
An app that runs several independent browser profiles on one computer: each has its own cookies, storage, history and its own connection, and sites see them as different environments. Ordinary browsers can do persistent profiles too; what makes an antidetect browser different is that there are many profiles, they are managed from a single list, and the proxy is set per profile.
Is there a free antidetect browser for Mac?
Yes, NeAntik. There are no paid plans, no per-plan profile limit and no trial period: the whole app is free. It is a public alpha for a Mac with Apple Silicon and macOS 14 or later.
Is this an anonymous browser?
No. No browser on its own guarantees anonymity: a site can take account, IP, cookies, fingerprint, language and behaviour into account. NeAntik separates work profiles and gives each one its own connection, but it does not promise that sessions cannot be linked.
How is a NeAntik profile different from incognito mode?
In Chrome all windows of one incognito session use temporary state that is cleared once all those windows are closed; their proxy is shared with the ordinary browser. A NeAntik profile is persistent: it has its own data folder that survives restarts, and its own connection. Ordinary browsers have persistent profiles too; NeAntik adds a list of dozens of them and a proxy for each.
How is NeAntik different from GoLogin, Dolphin Anty, Multilogin, AdsPower, Octo Browser and Vision?
It is free, works without an account and keeps profiles only on your Mac. In exchange it is narrower: macOS on Apple Silicon only, no Windows, Linux or Intel Mac, no teamwork, no cloud sync and no automation. Some of the services listed can also store profiles locally, and some have free plans for a few profiles — the comparison from their official sites is higher up this page.
Where are profiles and passwords stored?
Profiles in Application Support on your Mac, proxy passwords in the macOS Keychain. NeAntik has no cloud sync of profiles.
Does NeAntik collect telemetry?
There is no product telemetry: the endpoint for it is empty, no install identifier is created, and the build's privacy manifest declares that no data is collected. Network requests do exist — from the sites themselves, from the proxy and from the route check. The details are in the app's privacy policy in the repository.
Does NeAntik work without the internet?
Local actions do: the list, creating a profile, notes, folders. Working with sites without a network is impossible, as in any browser.
Do I need an account or sign-up?
No. You download it, open it, create a profile.
Are Intel Mac, Windows or Linux supported?
No. NeAntik is released for Apple Silicon only and requires macOS 14 or later. There are no builds for Intel Mac, Windows or Linux.
Do I need Chrome installed?
No. The app has its own Chromium 156.0.8078.12 for arm64 with Metal built in. A Chrome installed in the system is not required and not used.
Which proxies are supported?
Direct, HTTP and HTTPS with username and password, SOCKS5 without authorisation. A proxy is pasted on one line or filled in field by field under "Connection settings". If the proxy is unreachable, the profile does not quietly switch to a direct connection.
How do I update to a new version?
Quit NeAntik and the windows of its profiles, open the new DMG, move NeAntik into Applications replacing the previous app, and open it. Don't delete the profile folders: data, notes and start pages are kept.
macOS says the file is damaged or the signature was not verified. What do I do?
First check the source: the file must be downloaded from the release page in the AffPapa/neantik repository. Then download it again — an interrupted download breaks the signature — and compare the SHA-256 with the sum on this page. Turning Gatekeeper off or stripping quarantine is not worth it. If the sum matches and the system still won't open the app, write to Issues without any secrets.
How do I check the SHA-256 and what does it prove?
Run shasum -a 256 in Terminal with the path to the downloaded file and compare the output with the line on this page or with the .sha256 file in the release. A match confirms you have the same file that was published in the release. It is not confirmation that there are no vulnerabilities, and not a guarantee of anonymity.
What licence is NeAntik under?
The NeAntik manager is MPL-2.0. The bundled Chromium and its dependencies keep their upstream licences and notices, which sit in the repository. No single licence covers the whole bundle.
Why does the download send me to GitHub?
The files, the checksums and the immutable tag live in GitHub Releases, and there is no second copy: a downloaded file can always be compared with what was published. Publishing the app does not depend on this page — it updates separately.
How does the bundled Chromium get updated?
Along with the app. The engine has no separate updater: a new Chromium version arrives in a new version of NeAntik, and its number is given in the release description. Right now that is 156.0.8078.12.

A Developer ID signature, notarization and stapling confirm who built the file and that Apple screened it for known malware. That is not a guarantee that it has no vulnerabilities, and not a guarantee of anonymity. A matching SHA-256 means one thing: you downloaded the same file that was published in the release.
Privacy
NeAntik has no product telemetry and no cloud sync of profiles. Network activity there is, though, and it is worth telling apart.
- The app sends no telemetry: the endpoint for it is empty, no stable install identifier is created, and the build's privacy manifest declares that no data is collected.
- While you browse, sites get ordinary browser requests. The proxy you chose handles the profile's traffic, and the route check reaches the proxy and a service that reports the exit IP. Those are requests from sites and proxies, not NeAntik telemetry.
- Without the internet the local actions are available: the profile list, creating profiles, notes, folders. Working with sites offline is not possible.
- Profiles and notes are stored in Application Support, proxy passwords in the macOS Keychain. Deleting a profile moves its data to the Trash.
NeAntik privacy policy in the repository (at tag v0.7.29). The general affpapa.org site policy does not cover the app.
Licences
The sources of the NeAntik manager are distributed under MPL-2.0. The bundled Chromium and its dependencies keep their upstream licences and notices; those texts sit in the repository next to the sources. No single licence covers the whole bundle.

- Inside the app — its own Chromium 156.0.8078.12 for arm64 with Metal.
- A Chrome installed in the system is not required and not used.
- The interface is native: SwiftUI, no Electron wrapper.
- The engine has no separate updater — it arrives with a new version of NeAntik.
