Betfair— player complaints: 271 in English

I have been a user for 12 years and use this site over 350 days a year i went to log on today to find my account suspended for no valid reason at all ive not even got an email telling me why i find this is very bad practice by betfair especially to a very good customer like my self

I won this money on the slots on the 13th March 2020. I have sent them all the documents that they asked for straight away and yet they are still not sending me my money. Whenever I speak to them they give no explanation as to why they are not sending it only that I have to wait. I think nearly 3 weeks is long enough to do whatever checks they need to do.

I'll try and keep it short guys. Basically betfair have decided to suspend my account after taking very regular deposits since 2016 when they merged i believe with Paddypower. I had excluded from Paddypower & at the time i had a live chat conversation with Betfair, and we discussed my gambling issues (mainly with slots and roulette). We came to an agreement that they would disable all products and services on Betfair except Sportsbook as i told them i didn't have any issues betting on sports which is true. To this day all products are still disabled except Sportsbetting & BeatThe Drop which is a yes/no game. Today they close my account due to previous Exclusion with Paddypower. I am very frustrated...4 Years it takes them to suddenly decide they shouldn't be taking my bets!? I have now lost all my monthly rewards for April, i have lost my Beat The Drop progress & i am disgusted with this type of servcie. Can they do this legally, surely my 4 years of deposits i would imaagine should be Null & Void. Your viewpoint on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Dear Sirs and Madames, I won about € 46,350 (Super Power) under the username [EDIT] at Betfair.  After that I won 6x power and 1x extra.  I was able to pay out € 9,000, then the account was blocked because I allegedly violated the terms and conditions.  Then I was told that the € 75 I had deposited would be refunded to me.  I got it too.  € 40,393.64 was still in the account when the account was closed.  Less the € 75, Betfair still owes me € 40,318.64.  I played the same slot several times with different devices using the same IP address.  I can not imagine that I have violated the terms and conditions Please help me Sincerly [EDIT]

Good afternoon I write to you with the faith that you are well and safety.. I am going to tell you the latest events and I am going to ask you for help. It is about the Betfair bookmaker and some irregularities they have committed against me. I begin to point out that during the casino session on this page the game was frozen at the time of winning during the spins .. It has not been once it has been several times and I have screenshots .. As I have read I am not the only one user who has had this problem and there are many who have lost large amounts of money due to this mistake or failure made by this Betfair betting house but with intention .. The other but more serious issue is that at the beginning of that month seeing so many irregularities and non-compliance with the rules I have sent several e-mails to them asking for my exclusion forever .. You know that a person who plays gambling or casino he always plays when time permits or he has money or worse, he even borrows money to play. I realized that I can no longer be related to online games and asked all the bookmakers where I have registered my auto exclusion forever .. All bookmakers starting with William Hill, bet 365 and a few others have answered my email soon and my account has been suspended. The only house that has not answered my emails has been Betfair ... And the worst of all after receiving my emails where I was asking for my auto exclusion forever they have started bombarded me with emails to enter more and leave more money in your bookmaker .. Both my email and also as a text message to my cell phone .. It is sheer cruelty by them to do nothing and to let a poor innocent go in more and spend more just for their benefit. Two days ago, I entered their page and I have used the chat to inform them that my intention is to open a claim against them for breaking the rules and only thinking about their benefit. They told me that they have not received my e-mails. and they have asked me for the email address where I have sent it .. I have written the email address and honestly it is a great lie on their part because I have sent email to the same email in the past and they answered me instantly .. I need your help to find out how I can report this gambling house and ask it to pay for being so cruel and obsessed only with winning and for innocent users to leave thousands of pounds, millions for a month. My account has been suspended, despite uploading all documents and previously being "verified" (which on mobile view it says I am verified still). I believe this was triggered whilst adding a new payment card (which my bank declined the deposit due to being a new account and a high value-I have since spoke to my bank and they have unblocked the payment card in question (ending 2100). I have since contacted the help but they have given no indication when I will be unsuspended. I have not received any communication from the suspension team. I have uploaded a scanned clear copy of my passport, and a debit card, and a phone bill.

Hello I've had a betfair account for a few months. The account was verified, then i had a few wins and my account was closed. no emails at all. so i contacted them on chat and said they need documents. 4 weeks later they say account closed on business grounds. they refuse to take to me now, and i don't no what to do. i had £500 in the account which is alot of money to me. i would be very greatfull if you could help. thanks

Account closed on business grounds and no explanation

I had $8922.29 in my account. I received a mail from Betfair that my account has been closed on business grounds and in line with T&C. However , net deposits of $2504.03 will be returned to my Neteller. I received these funds on next two days , however the remaining $6418.26 were not sent to me at all. When I contacted them regarding this , they said the management on a review has decided to retain my funds and will not return them. I have neither committed any fraud , illegal activity or breached any of their T&C. All of my winnings are from exchange bets only and I've not earned a single dollar from Betfair itself. Rather I've paid thousands in their exchange commission. Please help me in recovering this amount. This amount will bring me close to bankruptcy if not recovered.

I won 1300 on Betfair, sent them documents, but they have closed my account. How can I get my money?

Hi Team, My name is [EDIT] and my username with betfair is [EDIT] last week betfair closed my account and confisicated my funds of 3092 usd. And after making multiple attempts to get in touch with them over chat mail and phone I am not getting any other reply than that account is closed due to security reasons. As far I know I didnt made anything wrong and if something wrong I did it may be purely accidental however it doesn't allow betfair to take my funds. Dear Lady / Sir, My name is [EDIT] and I have been advised by IBAS to make a regulatory complaint with gambling comission regarding my account with BetfairPaddypower. Reference number given by Betfair regarding my matter is : RPCN-081 . I`m gonna explain the matter now trying to be short and concise : I have two gambling accounts one with Paddypower and one with Betfair . Both accounts have same details ( Name , Address , Mobile No , email ). On 06/12/2016 I self excluded myself from Paddypower account feeling that I' m losing control of my gambling . Paddypower prevented me using my account which is not accessible even now. Meantime my Betfair account was still open and I started to gamble on that making regularly deposits ( almost daily so they could clearly see my issue ) On 25/12/2018 , after two years , trying to login in my Betfair account I could n`t do it . Online with customer service they told me I`m excluded because this account is linked with my Paddypower account which I`m excluded in 2016. I emailed them asking why I wasn't excluded earlier then , took them two years , or they wanted just as much money from me ( they where given me even bonuses in my Betfair account , sent me Horse racing program in post ) . Betfair answer was they merged two companies and " As part of this, a new policy was implemented for customers who self-excluded from the 30th of December 2016 going forward to have their account on the other brand also self-excluded within 24-48 hours, and customers are informed of this at the time in advance. Self-exclusions applied prior to the 30th December 2016 are not included in this policy. We sign posted customers who self-excluded on either brand prior to the 30th of December that if they wanted to self-exclude from both brands they would need to contact them directly " So because my self exclusion was on 06/12/16 on Paddypower , my Betfair account wasn't closed in 24/48 hours BUT THEY did it two years later ( why not two months , why not twenty years ??? ) and I thought they kept it going because my account was not a winning one so they wanted as much money as possible from me . When I asked them this they answer : We closed your account because it`s linked with the other Paddypower account. With all this I emailed Betfair requesting that my balance in my account ( which is on negative side ) to be brought to zero ( return me the difference between my deposits / withdrawals ) . They refused stating that reimbursing is in itself an incentive to gamble but they where very keen and happy to take my money for two years no problem ( even offering me incentives ). I have attached my emails with Betfair which I find disingenuous ( some emails say self exclusion it`s not automatically , some say it is ). Recently, I was invited to take part in a casino offer. Bet £100 get £100. On this offer I won £180 followed by a further £36 on an arcade game offer, bet £10 get £2. I submitted a withdrawal for £306 (leaving £10 in the account.) I then received an email saying my account has been closed and the money is being withheld. I have asked for an explanation of why the account was closed and why my money is being withheld but have not been given an answer.

Hi, I have made sure that I did not do anything illegal or breached the terms and conditions, as this is the truth and Betfair still closes my account for no reason and confiscates my money, £ 2000. My money has been earned completely honestly trading and they seem to be doing what they want. Dear team at THEPOGG.com, The facts are as follow: Late last year, 2017, I requested a 6 months self-exclusion from Betfair and all my gambling accounts. The reason being that for a semester I went back to study and I wanted to be totally focuses. My intention was to reopen my accounts once the exclusion was over. Few months after, in April 2018, I created and account with PaddyPawor and deposited 100€. After the deposit the account was limited for 6 months as per the exclusion on betfair. At that time I did not know that Betfait had Merged with PaddyPower. The problem was that while the self exclusion on Betfair was due to expired in no more than 2 months, the limitation placed on PaddyPower was 6 months long! I then contacted the customer service of PaddyPower to requested that the self exclusion would end together with the one still on Betfair as I had no need for a longer exclusion. The result was that my self exclusion on Betfair was prolonged of 6 more months! In fact, i requested a 6 months self exclusion and I found myself with 10/11 months one. I tried multiple times to explain to PaddyPower that was not logical to prolong the limitation on Betfair and that i need for it. I was happy with the SE that I had planned. After that I met with a wall, i then asked PaddyPower to close my account. I asked for the closure because that account was influencing my betfair one. I have now waited 8 months, the self exclusion on betfair expired in September but my account is still limited because of a permanent exclusion on paddypower. I tried again and again to explain that was never my intention to request a permanent exclusion. Unfortunately from PaddyPower I only get the standard email that says that I have requested a self exclusion. What I want from them is to make so that I can still access betfair with my old account or a new one. I believe that the doing of the tandem betfair/paddypower is going against the reason behind the self exclusion. They use this tool as an hammer to get rid of unwanted players. Also, now i fear ever use the self exclusion option on other site as I may,once again, not be able too ever log back. In fact, i might never use the self exclusion tool on any other site such. I believe that self exclusion tool was not meant only for players with gambling issues nor as a punishing tool that casinos can use indiscriminately.  Finally, I asked the people at paddypower to review my self exclusion and to look for gambling issues indicators. They will not found any as: -I only have one account. Same email for betfair and paddypower; -Never asked free stuff; -Never filed any chargeback; -Never deposited more that a person of my age, occupation and location can comfortably spend; The people at paddypower did no take any of the above into consideration. How was my account closed I have been using Betfair for ages now. I login into my old account at [EDIT] and Betfair said my account is closed I new to open a new account. I went forward and Betfair opened a new account for me. Despite my deposit was not deposited into my new account. Within a day the new account [EDIT] was closed based on business ground. Which business ground, I didn’t used my account for any illegal activities so I truly find this absurd despite being a Betfair customer for ages.
