What recipe-log-deal-update does

This skill runs a scripted workflow to log sales updates directly to Google Sheets. First, it searches for a spreadsheet named Sales Pipeline using gws drive files list. Then it inspects the Pipeline!A1:F range and appends a row with date, company, deal stage, value, quarter, and owner using gws sheets +append.

Execution relies on the gws binary on your system. It also requires two prerequisite skills: gws-sheets and gws-drive. Missing either dependency breaks the workflow because Drive file lookup and Sheet modifications will fail.

This setup fits projects that use a spreadsheet named Sales Pipeline. If your tracking sheet uses custom column ranges or a different name, the command parameters will require manual edits.

# Log Deal Update to Sheet

Append a deal status update to a Google Sheets sales tracking spreadsheet.

## Steps

1. Find the tracking sheet: `gws drive files list --params '{"q": "name = '\''Sales Pipeline'\'' and mimeType = '\''application/vnd.google-apps.spreadsheet'\''"}'`
2. Read current data: `gws sheets +read --spreadsheet SHEET_ID --range "Pipeline!A1:F"`
3. Append new row: `gws sheets +append --spreadsheet SHEET_ID --range 'Pipeline' --values '["2024-03-15", "Acme Corp", "Proposal Sent", "$50,000", "Q2", "jdoe"]'`
