recipe-create-classroom-course — Claude Code skill
Creates a Google Classroom course, sends student invites, and lists enrolled members via CLI commands.
npx skills add googleworkspace/cli --skill recipe-create-classroom-course -a claude-codeWhat recipe-create-classroom-course does
This skill provides a structured recipe for managing Google Classroom via your agent. It executes gws commands to configure a new class with its assigned name and room.
The workflow handles sending email invitations to students and returning current rosters in a table format. It requires the gws binary on your system alongside the gws-classroom prerequisite skill.
It suits educators automating batch setup from the terminal. Setting up courses by hand in a browser takes noticeably longer.
What it helps with
- Create a new Google Classroom course with section and room details
- Send course invitations to student email addresses
- Display enrolled students in a formatted table
Example prompts for the agent
- Create a Google Classroom course named Introduction to CS in Room 101
- Invite [email protected] to course COURSE_ID
- List enrolled students for course COURSE_ID in a table
