gws-calendar-agenda — Claude Code skill: what it does, how to install
Displays upcoming events across all Google calendars inside your agent. Useful for checking today's, tomorrow's, or weekly schedules without leaving the editor.
npx skills add googleworkspace/cli --skill gws-calendar-agenda -a claude-codeWhat gws-calendar-agenda does
The skill executes gws calendar +agenda to pull event data from Google Calendar. It checks all connected calendars by default. You can filter results with --calendar using a specific name or ID. Range flags include --today, --tomorrow, --week, and --days.
This tool is read-only. It never modifies or deletes entries. Output defaults to your Google account timezone, but --timezone lets you change it. You need the gws binary and auth configured through gws-shared.
Use this to check your agenda without context switching. It cannot create meetings. Because it lacks write permissions, managing events requires the broader gws-calendar skill.
What it helps with
- view today's or tomorrow's events in the terminal
- filter agenda entries by calendar name or ID
- inspect upcoming days using an alternative timezone
- output weekly schedules in a structured table
Example prompts for the agent
- Show today's events from Google Calendar
- gws calendar +agenda --week --format table
- Show my schedule for the next 3 days from the Work calendar
