What gws-workflow-meeting-prep does

The command talks to the Google Workspace CLI and returns your next upcoming event: agenda, attendees, description and document links. It reads only, nothing gets modified.

Under the hood it wraps gws workflow +meeting-prep. Pick a calendar with --calendar (defaults to primary) and an output shape with --format — json, table, yaml or csv. Check gws --version and gws auth status first: no gws binary or no configured auth means the command goes nowhere. Use gws schema if you want to see the method parameters before calling it.

You need the Google Workspace CLI installed and authenticated. Worth having when your calendar is packed and you want the context in the terminal instead of a browser tab.

What it helps with

  • build an agenda for the next meeting
  • see who is attending an event
  • find docs attached to a calendar invite
  • read meeting context in the terminal
  • export event details as json or csv

Example prompts for the agent

  • Prep me for my next meeting: agenda, attendees and linked docs
  • Show the next event from the Work calendar
  • Print the next meeting details as a table
