Cloaking— what it means in affiliate marketing
Serving one page to the ad platform or search crawler and a different page to the user who clicks.
Every large platform bans it by name, and detection is now the default assumption rather than a risk. What varies is how the split is made — by IP range, by user agent, by referrer, by a device fingerprint — and how long the account survives afterwards.
