recipe-organize-drive-folder — Claude Code skill: folders, install
Creates a Google Drive folder structure and moves existing files into the right locations. Useful for organizing project files.
npx skills add googleworkspace/cli --skill recipe-organize-drive-folder -a claude-codeWhat recipe-organize-drive-folder does
This skill creates a project folder in Google Drive, adds subfolders, and moves existing files into the selected locations. It then checks the contents of a folder and displays the structure in table format.
The recipe uses gws drive files create, gws drive files update, and gws drive files list. It requires the gws binary and the gws-drive skill loaded beforehand. Folder and file IDs are passed through command parameters.
Install it when an agent needs to sort project files into a defined Google Drive structure. It is a poor fit for manual sorting without gws-drive.
What it helps with
- create a project folder in Google Drive
- add subfolders for project documents
- move files out of an old parent folder
- verify the contents of a project folder
Example prompts for the agent
- Create a Google Drive project folder named Q2 Project with a Documents subfolder.
- Move the selected files into the right folders and verify the result with `gws drive files list`.
- Organize the project files in Google Drive using `gws`.
