persona-researcher — Claude Code skill: what it does, how to install
Sets up an AI researcher persona for Google Workspace. It organizes references in Drive, tracks data in Sheets, and manages review requests.
npx skills add googleworkspace/cli --skill persona-researcher -a claude-codeWhat persona-researcher does
This skill configures the agent to manage academic and technical research within Google Workspace. It guides the model to file papers into Google Drive folders, draft summaries with gws docs +write, and log continuous experiment metrics using gws sheets +append.
The persona acts as a coordinator across multiple tools. To function, it strictly requires the gws binary alongside four utility skills: gws-drive, gws-docs, gws-sheets, and gws-gmail. Team collaboration relies on the gws workflow +file-announce routine, while peer review requests are sent directly via gws gmail +send. For data handoffs to statistical tools, it applies the --format csv flag.
Install this if your project workflows already run on Google Drive and Sheets. Without the underlying gws CLI configured, this persona will not work.
What it helps with
- log experiment results directly using
gws sheets +append - write summaries and literature notes with
gws docs +write - organize papers and project assets inside Google Drive folders
- request peer reviews by sending drafts via
gws gmail +send
Example prompts for the agent
- Find our research notes on Drive using `gws drive files list`
- Append these test metrics to the shared experiment spreadsheet
- Share the latest research summary with collaborators via `gws workflow +file-announce`
