The server packages 130 tools tailored for Google Workspace. An agent can organize folders on Drive, write text into Docs, format rows in Sheets, generate slide decks, and schedule Calendar events with Meet links. It also provides a gdrive:/// URI scheme for browsing and direct file reads.
Local setups run over stdio, while hosted integrations use Streamable HTTP. Local mode supports switching between several Google profiles per tool call. For shared infrastructure, team mode associates each incoming call with distinct OAuth 2.1 tokens.
The server cannot run without valid Google Cloud credentials configured first. You need to enable the corresponding Workspace APIs, save a Desktop application OAuth credential file, and complete browser login before client tools start responding.
