mcp-server · heyputer — Claude Code MCP server: Puter access
Connects your AI agent to Puter for files, websites and workers. Useful when the project already lives in Puter's cloud.
claude mcp add --transport http mcp-server https://mcp.puter.com/What mcp-server does
mcp-server is an MCP server from HeyPuter that lets AI tools talk to Puter. The agent manages files, websites and workers from the chat instead of you clicking through the dashboard.
It is a remote HTTP server at https://mcp.puter.com/, so there is nothing to install locally. Claude takes one command; Cursor and GitHub Copilot take a JSON block in their MCP config. Codex, Cline, Zed and Windsurf connect the same way.
The repository is AGPL-3.0. That matters if you fork Puter itself rather than just pointing a client at the hosted endpoint. For plain use through https://mcp.puter.com/ the license does not get in the way.
What it helps with
- upload a file to Puter storage from the agent chat
- publish a site and confirm it loads
- start a worker and check its status
- list what is inside a remote folder
- wire an AI agent to cloud storage without manual exports
Example prompts for the agent
- List the files in my Puter folder
- Publish this site through Puter and give me the link
- Start the worker and tell me if it fails
