Ban— what it means in affiliate marketing

An account, campaign or service access blocked for breaking the rules.

For a buyer a ban is a cost line rather than an event: accounts are replaced, campaigns rebuilt, and the balance inside is usually lost. Appeals succeed often enough to be worth filing and rarely enough not to plan around.
