What gws-workflow-weekly-digest does

This command compiles a weekly agenda by pulling scheduled events from Google Calendar alongside the unread inbox count from Gmail. You can pass --format to receive output formatted as json, table, yaml, or csv.

Operations run strictly in read-only mode, so calendar events and mailboxes remain untouched. It relies on Bash execution permissions to invoke the Google Workspace CLI tool. The agent inspects parameter constraints via gws schema before calling commands.

The command fails immediately without the gws binary installed and authenticated via gws auth status. You also need ../gws-shared/SKILL.md in place, which you can create using gws generate-skills.

What it helps with

  • aggregate this week's meetings and unread email count into one summary
  • export schedule and inbox triage metrics as a table or JSON
  • inspect Google Workspace agenda without manual checks

Example prompts for the agent

  • Get a weekly digest of my meetings and unread emails
  • Output my weekly schedule and unread mail summary as a table
