minimalist-review — Claude Code skill: test business decisions
A skill that evaluates business decisions, plans and strategies through the minimalist entrepreneur framework. Use it when you need honest feedback on an idea or help choosing between approaches.
npx skills add slavingia/skills --skill minimalist-review -a claude-codeWhat minimalist-review does
minimalist-review runs any business decision through eight principles of minimalist entrepreneurship: does it serve your community, is it overbuilt, does it improve profitability, is it reversible, will real customers pay for it. The skill gives a clear recommendation—do it, skip it, or simplify—then shows what the minimal version looks like, flags the biggest risk, and suggests one thing to test this week.
The framework asks eight questions of any decision: does it serve customers or feed your ego, have you done this manually enough times to know it works, have real people paid real money, are you spending time or money, did customers ask for this. The skill draws on Sahil Lavingia's philosophy in The Minimalist Entrepreneur.
What it helps with
- gut-check a business idea before you build it
- choose between competing strategies or roadmaps
- strip unnecessary complexity from a plan
- decide whether growth is moving too fast
- avoid spending money on what should stay manual
Example prompts for the agent
- Should I hire my first employee now, or is it too early?
- I'm choosing between hiring a marketing team or doing direct sales—which comes first?
- Build a mobile app now or start with a web version and see if there's demand?
