The server exposes the Tactical RMM API as typed commands, so an agent calls them like any other tool instead of hand-building requests. An offline SQLite mirror sits alongside it, which lets you run cross-entity queries the web UI cannot express. This is a community build, unaffiliated with AmidaWare LLC.
Two install routes. The quick one is pasting the README prompt into Claude, Codex CLI or Claude Cowork: it runs install.sh on a POSIX shell or install.ps1 under Windows PowerShell. The other is running the installer yourself, which drops both tactical-rmm-cli and tactical-rmm-mcp into your user bin path. Claude users can take the plugin instead: /plugin marketplace add Servosity/msp-skills first, then /plugin install tactical-rmm@msp-skills. Authentication follows the README, and tactical-rmm-cli --version confirms the install.
One hard limit: do not start HTTP mode (--transport http), not even on localhost. This build ships it without a password, bound to all interfaces, and before the browser-rebinding guard existed, so a page open in your browser can reach the server. The tools also write with your credentials. Stay on the default stdio transport, and tear down any tunnel you set up for a remote agent. That same mode is why setup for ChatGPT, Microsoft 365 Copilot and the Gemini app is paused.
