StoreShots — Claude Code MCP server: App Store screenshots

Renders raw app screenshots into store-ready marketing images for App Store and Google Play. Rendering runs on the service, so nothing is installed locally.

What StoreShots does

This is a small stdio server that proxies to the hosted StoreShots API. Your agent gets one to five screenshots, either local files or URLs, plus headlines, and the set comes back as PNGs or a ZIP saved into the project. No Chrome, no Puppeteer, no design app on your machine, because the image is assembled remotely.

Two discovery tools, list_styles and list_devices, spell out the available looks and device frames so you do not have to guess. The actual render is generate_screenshots, which takes style, device, target sizes, captions, app name and colour overrides; it hands back a jobId. Then get_output pulls the files into output_dir. Credits and remaining free sets are visible through get_balance, and buy_credits returns a Stripe payment link you open in a browser.

You need Node.js 18.17 or newer and a free ss_... key, shown only once at signup, so copy it right away. Missing STORESHOTS_API_KEY stops the server cold. Uploads travel over HTTPS and are deleted after 24 hours, and so are the outputs; download them before the window closes or get_output comes back empty.

What it helps with

  • turn raw app captures into App Store marketing screenshots
  • get every required store size from a single call
  • try an iPhone, iPad or Android frame on an existing screen
  • attach headlines and captions to each slide
  • drop a finished ZIP or PNG set into the project folder

Example prompts for the agent

  • List the available styles and device frames.
  • Generate a set for ios-6.9 and android-phone and download the PNGs to ./store-assets.
