Device ID— what it means in affiliate marketing
A mobile device's advertising identifier — IDFA on iOS, GAID on Android — used to tie installs and events to a click.
Both can be reset or withheld by the user, and on iOS the default is withheld. Attribution built on the identifier alone has been unreliable since ATT shipped.
