Issuer— what it means in affiliate marketing
The bank or licensed institution that issued a card and decides whether to approve each payment.
The issuer is identified by the BIN and is the party that declines, holds and loses chargeback disputes. Approval rates vary enough between issuers to be worth tracking per BIN.
