tasks-build — Claude Code skill for Notion tasks and setup
Give the skill a Notion task link: it reads the requirements, carries out the work, and updates the task as it goes. Useful when progress needs to stay visible in Notion.
npx skills add makenotion/cursor-notion-plugin --skill tasks-build -a claude-codeWhat tasks-build does
The skill reads the task page through Notion MCP tools, including its description, requirements, and linked references. It changes the task to “In progress” and posts brief updates in “Agent status” when that field exists.
The agent follows the task specification and records progress on the Notion page. If it needs clarification, it comments with the prefix Message from AI: and sets “Agent blocked” to true. Once the work is complete, it marks the task “Done” and adds a summary comment. It needs an accessible task URL and a working Notion connection; an inaccessible page stops the workflow until the link or connection is checked.
What it helps with
- turn a Notion task into an implementation plan for the agent
- show task progress on its Notion page
- ask for missing requirements in a task comment
- mark a completed task and leave a result summary
Example prompts for the agent
- Work on the Notion task at
<URL>and post progress updates on its page. - Review the requirements at
<URL>; ask in a Notion comment if anything needs clarification. - Implement the task at
<URL>, run the relevant checks, and summarize the result in Notion.
