What grill-with-docs does

grill-with-docs turns plan and design review into a structured interview. It asks questions to clarify decisions, then records the results in ADRs and a glossary as the work progresses. That fits projects where the direction exists but terms and design choices still need discussion.

The skill calls the Skill tool twice: once for “grilling” and once for “domain-modeling”. Model invocation is disabled, so you start it explicitly. You need Claude Code and the skill installed from mattpocock/skills. Install it when you want the reasoning and the resulting project documents in one workflow; for a small, settled task, the interview is probably unnecessary.

What it helps with

  • challenge a plan before implementation
  • surface disputed design decisions
  • record architecture decisions in ADRs
  • build a shared project glossary

Example prompts for the agent

  • Interview me about this plan and record the decisions in ADRs.
  • Review this design, ask about unclear choices, and build a glossary.
  • Run grill-with-docs to work through the domain model.
