What grill-me does

grill-me turns a plan or design review into a persistent interview. The agent asks focused questions and pushes you to clarify details before you write code or change the project.

The skill contains frontmatter for grill-me and tells Claude Code to call the Skill tool with grilling. Model invocation is disabled, so you start it explicitly. In Claude Code, add the mattpocock/skills marketplace, install mattpocock-skills@mattpocock, or run npx skills add mattpocock/skills --skill grill-me -a claude-code.

Install it when a plan still has open decisions or a design needs pressure-testing. Skip it for a settled task where there is nothing left to discuss.

What it helps with

  • pressure-test a development plan
  • surface gaps in a design
  • clarify requirements through questions
  • challenge assumptions before implementation

Example prompts for the agent

  • Call the Skill tool with `grilling` and interview me about this plan.
  • Run a relentless interview on this design and find the missing decisions.
  • Use `grill-me` to question this solution before implementation starts.
