What heygen does

This skill integrates HeyGen into coding agents to produce talking-head videos, product explainers, and presentations. When HeyGen MCP tools are present, it uses them directly to handle authentication and format requests automatically. If MCP tools are absent, it falls back to standard HTTP calls.

The core workflow prioritizes the Video Agent mode to assemble videos from structured prompts with styling and timing. For strict requirements, it supports building scenes with exact scripts, assigned voice IDs, and custom backgrounds without AI rewriting. Operation requires the HEYGEN_API_KEY environment variable.

Note that this skill is deprecated and scheduled for future removal. The author recommends migrating to create-video for prompt-driven generation or avatar-video for scene-level script and voice controls.
