What flux-best-practices does

The skill equips the agent with prompting formulas tailored for FLUX models. It breaks scene construction into subject, action, medium, context, lighting, and camera settings. FLUX completely lacks negative prompt support, so unwanted artifacts must be avoided by explicitly detailing the desired scene.

Specific tasks require different checkpoints. FLUX.2 [flex] handles rendered text, while FLUX.2 [klein] targets sub-second turnarounds. For brand work, the guide enforces #RRGGBB hex values alongside color names, and mandates quotation marks around any text meant to appear in the visual.

This guide focuses strictly on prompt construction and model selection like FLUX.1 Fill or FLUX.2 [max]. If your workflow requires API endpoints, polling, or webhooks, you need the companion bfl-api skill instead.

What it helps with

  • construct text-to-image prompts for FLUX.1 and FLUX.2
  • select the right FLUX model for speed or detail
  • render accurate typography and text inside images
  • specify exact brand colors with hex codes

Example prompts for the agent

  • Build a prompt for FLUX.2 [max] featuring a dramatic portrait at golden hour
  • Create a FLUX.2 [flex] prompt with quoted text on a storefront sign
  • How do I rewrite this Midjourney prompt for FLUX without negative prompts?
