XOOMAR market data — Claude Code MCP server: US market data
Hands your agent 26 tools for US market data: SEC filings, insider activity, short interest, 13F, COT and Fed liquidity. No key required to start.
claude mcp add --transport http xoomar-mcp https://xoomar.com/mcpWhat XOOMAR market data does
Two ways in. The hosted endpoint at https://xoomar.com/mcp speaks Streamable HTTP; the same tool set runs locally over stdio with npx -y xoomar-mcp. Behind it sit 26 tools drawing on 31 datasets assembled from primary sources — SEC EDGAR and XBRL, FINRA, CFTC, the Federal Reserve, USAspending and exchange APIs.
Keyless access allows 10 requests a minute per IP; a free account key raises that to 30. Either way the history you get back stops at six months. XOOMAR_MAX_ROWS controls how many rows a tool returns, 200 by default. Every result carries updatedAt, source and a sourceAttribution line you are expected to display when republishing, along with a link to the dataset page on xoomar.com.
Apache-2.0 covers the code, not the data. The terms on xoomar.com spell out what you may do with it, so read them before you build a report on top.
What it helps with
- check short interest on a ticker with days to cover
- spot companies where multiple insiders bought on the open market
- see which tracked 13F managers hold a stock
- pull quarterly and annual figures from XBRL
- track Fed net liquidity and its components
Example prompts for the agent
- How has GME short interest moved this year?
- What is Fed net liquidity doing right now?

Questions about XOOMAR market data
How do I install XOOMAR market data in Claude Code?
For the hosted server, one command: claude mcp add --transport http xoomar-mcp https://xoomar.com/mcp. For local stdio: `claude mcp add --env XOOMAR_API_KEY=<XOOMAR_API_KEY> --env XOOMAR_MAX_ROWS=<XOOMAR_MAX_ROWS> --transport stdio xoomar-market-data -- npx -y xoomar-mcp`.
What does XOOMAR market data do?
It gives an agent tools for US market data: FINRA short interest, Form 4 and Form 144 filings, 13D/13G and 13F holders, XBRL financials, COT positioning, central bank policy rates, Treasury auctions and more.
