Filings Intel MCP — Claude Code MCP server: SEC EDGAR data
Lets your agent pull US public company filings, financials and insider trades while it works. No API key needed.
claude mcp add --transport http sec-edgar-filings https://filings.datakoot.com/mcpWhat Filings Intel MCP does
The server runs over HTTP and exposes five tools. company_lookup resolves a name or ticker to a CIK. recent_filings lists the newest documents and can filter by form type such as 10-K or 8-K. Full-text search across EDGAR is handled by filing_search, financials returns key XBRL facts like revenue and net income, and insider_transactions covers recent Form 3, 4 and 5 buys and sells.
Everything comes from SEC EDGAR, which is US-government public domain. Outgoing requests carry an identifying User-Agent, as SEC's fair-access policy requires. There is nothing to sign up for and no key to paste; the endpoint is https://filings.datakoot.com/mcp.
The output is informational, not investment advice. Treat the numbers as a starting point and open the original document when a decision depends on them — the server reports what EDGAR holds and does not reconcile differences between filings.
What it helps with
- resolve a ticker to a company CIK
- list the latest 10-K and 8-K filings
- read revenue and net income from XBRL
- track insider buys and sells
- search the text of a filing
Example prompts for the agent
- Look up Tesla's CIK and list its most recent SEC filings
- Which 8-K forms did Apple file this year?
- Show recent insider transactions for NVDA
