TaskTime Pro — Claude Code MCP server: what it does, how to install
Bridges local AI agents with the TaskTime Pro manager over stdio. Helps track work time, inspect project expenses, and manage client invoices right from your editor.
claude mcp add agent-bridge -- npx -y @tasktimepro/agent-bridgeWhat TaskTime Pro does
The server runs @tasktimepro/agent-bridge over standard input/output. It never reads local IndexedDB files directly. Instead, it hosts a loopback endpoint and waits for the browser app to pair via the Account > Agent Access screen, relaying agent calls into the active PWA session.
Agents can inspect tasks, active timers, and invoices. Actions that alter billing enforce guardrails: canceling an unpaid finalized invoice preserves its audit trail and invoice number while unlocking assigned work items. Without a running browser tab paired via Account > Agent Access, the bridge cannot execute commands, as no long-lived bearer tokens are saved to disk.
Plan boundaries stay inside the paired browser app. The free tier covers one active client and the current month report summary. Generating invoice PDFs and drafting emails work on Free, but sending documents directly through TaskTime infrastructure requires a Pro subscription.
What it helps with
- manage task timers and log billable hours
- generate and finalize client invoices
- check monthly expense summaries and basic reports
- prepare email drafts and export invoice PDFs
Example prompts for the agent
- Check my active timers and list unfinished tasks in TaskTime Pro
- Create a finalized invoice for the current client and export the PDF
- Run
get_email_send_statusto see if the quote reached the client
