The endpoint is https://api-wh.storiesig.info/instagram/mcp, transport is Streamable HTTP, and OAuth handles sign-in the first time you connect. Nothing runs on your machine, and no Instagram account or proxy is involved.
Twelve read-only tools cover the public side of Instagram. get_instagram_profile returns bio and follower counts, list_instagram_posts pages through an account's recent posts and reels, and download_instagram_video hands back direct video links in the qualities available plus a cover image, no watermark. Comments, likers, followers, following, live stories and highlight collections each have their own tool.
A free trial covers 50 requests with no card; paid tiers start at Pro and go up to Mega. Once the quota is gone the server replies with a payment link and your assistant passes it along. Claude users can take the plugin instead, which wires up the server and adds a skill that picks the right tool and explains how to page through long lists.
