leapfrog — Claude Code MCP server: 15 parallel browsers
A browser MCP server with 15 isolated sessions and 36 tools. Page snapshots come back compact, so your context lasts longer.
claude mcp add leapfrog -- npx -y leapfrog-mcpWhat leapfrog does
Leapfrog runs up to 15 browser sessions side by side, each in its own context. The 36 tools cover navigation, snapshots, network interception, console capture, file upload and drag-and-drop. Snapshots are trimmed hard, so a content-heavy page costs far fewer tokens than the same page through Playwright MCP. Dense forms save the least.
No browser ships with the package. It depends on playwright-core, so pick a source first: set LEAP_CHANNEL=chrome to reuse your installed Chrome, run npx playwright-core install chromium for a separate binary, or point LEAP_CDP_ENDPOINT at a Chrome instance that is already running. Skip this and the server has nothing to drive.
Stealth is on by default with 19 patches, and you can switch modes: true, passive, auto or false. Pages get classified into 18 types, which shapes what a snapshot surfaces. Sessions keep memory, cookies survive restarts, and the harness flags loops and bot redirects. Humanization stays off unless you set LEAP_HUMANIZE=true, and it slows every action down.
What it helps with
- run 15 browser sessions at once without mixing their state
- snapshot a page without burning half the context window
- get past anti-bot checks on sites that fingerprint visitors
- capture network traffic and console output while debugging a flow
- recall what the agent did after context compression
Example prompts for the agent
- Open
example.comin a new session and snapshot only the article headlines. - Create a session with
stealth: falseand log in to the staging site. - Show me what this session did: recent actions and how they turned out.

Questions about leapfrog
How do I install leapfrog in Claude Code?
Run claude mcp add leapfrog -- npx -y leapfrog-mcp. The server then shows up in your Claude MCP list.
What does leapfrog do?
It gives an agent a browser with parallel isolated sessions and tools for navigation, snapshots, network interception and form work. Snapshots are compact, so fewer tokens go into context.
Does leapfrog need a separate browser?
Yes, it does not bundle one. Set LEAP_CHANNEL=chrome to use your installed Chrome, install Chromium with npx playwright-core install chromium, or connect to a running Chrome via LEAP_CDP_ENDPOINT.
