Google Maps Scraper — MCP server for Claude Code: search and reviews
Feeds your agent live Google Maps business search, reviews and photos. Useful for market research and filling in a CRM.
claude mcp add --transport http google-maps-scraper https://cloud.gmapsextractor.com/api/mcpWhat Google Maps Scraper does
The server is hosted, so there is no local process to run. Your client connects over Streamable HTTP to https://cloud.gmapsextractor.com/api/mcp and sends Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY on each request. Grab a key from the G Maps Extractor dashboard and keep it in an environment variable or secret store rather than pasting it into a config file you commit.
Three tools come with it. search_google_maps takes a query and location and returns names, addresses, phone numbers, websites, ratings, review counts and photos; the extra flag adds emails, social profiles and more detail. get_place_reviews pulls public reviews for an fid from a search, sorted by relevance, recency or rating. get_place_photos returns public images and their URLs.
Nothing works until the key is valid, so create the account first and register the endpoint after. The repository itself is a listing: server.json for MCP Registry metadata, a ready .mcp.json for clients, and llms-install.md with short setup notes for agents.
What it helps with
- build a list of businesses in a niche and city with phones and sites
