pseolint — Claude Code MCP server: audit and setup
pseolint audits programmatic SEO sites by template, returning a verdict, risk score, and proposed fixes. Use it on a URL or a local directory.
claude mcp add --env ANTHROPIC_API_KEY=<ANTHROPIC_API_KEY> --env PSEOLINT_MCP_SAMPLE_CAP=<PSEOLINT_MCP_SAMPLE_CAP> --transport stdio mcp -- npx -y @pseolint/mcpWhat pseolint does
pseolint gives AI coding clients a template-aware audit for programmatic SEO sites. It can inspect a URL or directory and report an overall verdict, risk score, categories, template-level results, and findings for individual pages. Template results include variance data and the rule driving the most failures.
The server exposes namespaced tools such as pseolint_audit_site and pseolint_orchestrate_audit. The orchestration tool runs 25 deterministic audit tools and builds a fix manifest with patches for copy, JSON-LD, and robots.txt. Results are available as a short summary or as JSON with validation and diffs.
SSRF checks, robots.txt handling, fetch limits, and crawl limits are enabled by default. The content-quality signal requires ANTHROPIC_API_KEY; without that key, contentEffort does not activate. That requirement matters when you want the audit to judge originality and effort from sampled page text.
What it helps with
- audit a programmatic SEO site by URL template
- spot pages with elevated spam risk
- compare risk across page templates
- generate copy and JSON-LD patches
- explain what drives the risk score

Questions about pseolint
How do I install pseolint in Claude Code?
Run claude mcp add pseolint -e ANTHROPIC_API_KEY=<ANTHROPIC_API_KEY> -- npx -y @pseolint/mcp.
What does pseolint do?
It audits a URL or directory with programmatic SEO rules, calculates a risk score, and reports verdicts and findings by template and page. Its orchestration tool also creates a repair manifest.
Do I need an ANTHROPIC_API_KEY to use pseolint?
The key is required for the contentEffort signal, which evaluates sampled page text. Without it, that signal stays inactive; the key is also included in the setup commands for Claude Code and other clients.
