What crawlgraph-mcp does

The server exposes five tools. backlinks looks up links to a domain, while backlink_changes compares snapshots. gap_analysis compares your domain with competitors; gap_outreach_targets returns candidates for research, and releases lists available snapshots. Outreach tools do not send messages or create contacts.

For local stdio, configure npx with -y crawlgraph-mcp and pass CRAWLGRAPH_API_KEY through the MCP environment. A valid API key is required to run tools. Quotas depend on account access: free accounts get 15 backlink calls and 0 gap jobs per UTC calendar month; accounts with current paid access get 1,000 calls and 50 jobs. Polling a gap job costs no gap jobs, but an accepted submission remains charged even if its response is lost.

What it helps with

  • look up backlinks for a domain
  • compare competitor links with your own domain
  • check which backlinks changed between snapshots
  • find outreach research candidates from a gap analysis

Example prompts for the agent

  • Find backlinks for example.com, sorted by authority.
  • Compare example.com with one.com and two.com in a gap analysis.
  • Check backlink changes for example.com between snapshots.
