SEO Tools: Yandex Wordstat — Claude Code MCP server: install
Connects official Yandex Wordstat API v2 to an AI client via stdio. It provides keyword frequencies and search trend dynamics in JSON format.
claude mcp add --env WORDSTAT_API_KEY=<WORDSTAT_API_KEY> --env WORDSTAT_FOLDER_ID=<WORDSTAT_FOLDER_ID> --transport stdio seo-tools-yandex-wordstat -- npx -y seo-tools-mcp-wordstatWhat SEO Tools: Yandex Wordstat does
The server operates in read-only mode. It returns structured JSON straight to your context. The tool set includes wordstat_frequency for search volumes, wordstat_dynamics for historical trends, as well as wordstat_regions and wordstat_regions_tree for geographic distribution. Checking session credentials happens via <server>_auth_status and <server>_set_credentials.
Direct calls require a Yandex Cloud Search API key. Without WORDSTAT_API_KEY and WORDSTAT_FOLDER_ID environment variables, the server will not respond. All communication runs over stdio.
What it helps with
- retrieve keyword search volumes from Yandex
- track query demand over time using dynamic reports
- inspect search interest across geographic regions
- explore the hierarchical region tree for query targeting
Example prompts for the agent
- Fetch search frequency for 'buy laptop' with wordstat_frequency
- Analyze monthly search dynamics for 'skiing gear' using wordstat_dynamics
- Check regional interest for 'coffee delivery' via wordstat_regions
