PlayDrop — Claude Code MCP server: publish browser games
Publishes, tests and shares the browser games you build with an AI agent, straight from your project.
claude mcp add --transport http mcp https://mcp.playdrop.ai/mcpWhat PlayDrop does
PlayDrop wires your agent to a remote MCP server at https://mcp.playdrop.ai/mcp and adds one skill, playdrop-ai. You sign in to your PlayDrop account with OAuth. Nothing else gets installed — the public PlayDrop CLI and the older CLI-based skills are retired, and games now go out through the PlayDrop connector.
Your agent can upload index.html with its catalogue.json metadata, an icon, hero art, screenshots, a trailer and a teaser, localized per language. A version can go up privately for testing first, then be made public from the game page. Local builds get checked before upload: the agent opens a Dev URL such as https://www.playdrop.ai/creators/<username>/apps/game/<slug>/dev?url=http%3A%2F%2Flocalhost%3A5173%2F, which wraps your local server in the normal PlayDrop host and SDK. No tunnel required. Should the built-in browser refuse to reach your local server, open that same address in your everyday browser and approve the local-network prompt; the agent tells you which browser worked.
The optional client SDK drops in with a single script tag and brings leaderboards, achievements, cloud saves, social features and multiplayer. Multiplayer can run on your own server, or you can upload a Colyseus server.js to PlayDrop's free hosted game servers with MongoDB. The MIT-licensed package ships no server implementation and no credentials, so access tokens do not belong in it.
What it helps with
- publish a finished browser game to PlayDrop
- check local gameplay before uploading
- push a new version of an already published game
- add leaderboards and cloud saves to a game
- run multiplayer on PlayDrop hosting
Example prompts for the agent
- Publish the game in this project to PlayDrop
- Test the local build on
localhost:5173before uploading - Upload a new version privately, then make it public

How do I install PlayDrop in Claude Code?
Add the marketplace first: claude mcp add --transport http mcp https://mcp.playdrop.ai/mcp, then connect the server: claude mcp add --transport http playdrop https://mcp.playdrop.ai/mcp. After that, sign in via /mcp → plugin:playdrop:playdrop → Authenticate.
What does PlayDrop do?
It publishes browser games from your project, lets you test a version privately and then make it public. The agent can also check a local build before anything is uploaded.
What do I need for PlayDrop to work?
A PlayDrop account and an OAuth sign-in. No separate CLI or package is needed — the public PlayDrop CLI and its skills are retired.
