Four tools come with the server. search_games looks titles up by name, get_game_details returns a full card for a given IGDB game ID, get_most_anticipated_games ranks unreleased titles by hype, and custom_query runs raw Apicalypse queries against any endpoint. Two resources ship alongside: a list of IGDB endpoints and a syntax guide for the query language.
You need a Client ID and Client Secret from the Twitch Developer Console. Without them the server can't authenticate, so set IGDB_CLIENT_ID and IGDB_CLIENT_SECRET in your client config. OAuth tokens get cached, which keeps repeat lookups from re-authenticating every time.
IGDB caps you at 4 requests per second and the server does no throttling of its own. Fire off queries in a tight loop and the API will start rejecting them. Request the fields you need in one call, or batch several lookups together.
