mcp-take-blip — Claude Code MCP server: setup
Connects an agent to Take Blip for chatbot, messaging, contact, and broadcast operations. Use it when these actions need to run from an MCP client.
claude mcp add mcp-take-blip -e TAKE_BLIP_API_KEY=<TAKE_BLIP_API_KEY> -- npx -y @codespar/mcp-take-blipWhat mcp-take-blip does
mcp-take-blip exposes Take Blip operations to an MCP client. An agent can send messages and notifications, read contacts and conversation threads, create broadcasts, inspect chatbot analytics, and open support tickets for human handoff.
The server also covers chatbot flow configuration, custom event tracking, and bot resources used for variables or state. Its tool set contains 18 entries, including contact creation, updates, lookup, and deletion.
Take Blip credentials are required. The install commands pass TAKE_BLIP_API_KEY, while the server description also refers to a bot ID and access key. Without the key, authentication will fail.
What it helps with
- send messages to Take Blip contacts
- inspect recent conversation threads
- build a broadcast and deliver messages
- open or close human-support tickets
- store and read bot state values
Example prompts for the agent
- Send a Take Blip message to this contact with
send_message. - Find the contact, load its thread, and summarize the recent messages.
- Create a broadcast for the selected contacts and send the notification.
