mcp-transak — Claude Code MCP server: features and setup
Connect an agent to the Transak Partner API to manage orders, request quotes, and check currency, country, and payment details. A partner key and API secret are required.
claude mcp add --env TRANSAK_API_KEY=<TRANSAK_API_KEY> --env TRANSAK_API_SECRET=<TRANSAK_API_SECRET> --env TRANSAK_ENV=<TRANSAK_ENV> --transport stdio transak -- npx -y @codespar/mcp-transakWhat mcp-transak does
The server exposes Transak tools for creating, updating, cancelling, and looking up orders, as well as fetching fiat-to-crypto quotes. Agents can also inspect trade limits, supported currencies and countries, network fees, KYC status, and partner balances. A local tool checks webhook signatures with HMAC-SHA256.
This connects to the Partner API, not the Transak widget. Set TRANSAK_API_KEY and TRANSAK_API_SECRET before launch; TRANSAK_ENV selects staging or production, with staging as the default. The server is in alpha, and some order endpoint paths may need adjustment against a live partner key. Account for that before building a workflow around order operations.
What it helps with
- create or cancel a Transak order
- request a fiat-to-crypto quote
- check trade limits for a country
- look up a buyer’s KYC status
- verify a webhook signature
Example prompts for the agent
- Get a Transak quote for converting fiat to crypto.
- List the partner account’s orders and check the status of this order.
- Verify the HMAC-SHA256 signature on this Transak webhook.
