mcp-mercado-libre — Claude Code MCP server: 22 Mercado Libre tools
Wires Mercado Libre into your coding agent: product search, orders, shipments, buyer questions and reviews. Useful if you sell on the marketplace and work from chat.
claude mcp add mcp-mercado-libre -e MELI_ACCESS_TOKEN=<MELI_ACCESS_TOKEN> -- npx -y @codespar/mcp-mercado-libreWhat mcp-mercado-libre does
The server exposes 22 tools from the Mercado Libre API. Product search and item details, category lookup plus category prediction from a title, trending searches, order handling and shipment tracking, shipping labels as PDF or ZPL.
Seller-side actions are there too: change stock, price, status or title on a listing, reply to a buyer question, message a buyer after the sale, set up a price discount promotion. Seller reputation and a product's average rating are readable as well.
Auth runs on OAuth2, so you need an access token from the developer portal and the MELI_ACCESS_TOKEN variable before anything works. The optional MELI_SITE_ID defaults to MLB for Brazil; switch it to MLA for Argentina or MLM for Mexico.
What it helps with
- look up products and categories on Mercado Libre from the agent chat
- change listing stock or price without opening the seller dashboard
- track shipment status and pull a shipping label
- answer buyer questions on an item
- create a discount promotion for a listing
Example prompts for the agent
- Search Mercado Libre for bluetooth earbuds and list the first five with prices
- Set stock on this listing to 40 units and change the price to 199.90
- Fetch the tracking history for this shipment and tell me where it is now
