mcp-iniciador — Claude Code MCP server: what it does, how to install
Connects AI agents to Iniciador for Open Finance Brasil Pix payments. It creates payment consents, checks authorization, and triggers transfers.
claude mcp add --env INICIADOR_CLIENT_ID=<INICIADOR_CLIENT_ID> --env INICIADOR_CLIENT_SECRET=<INICIADOR_CLIENT_SECRET> --env INICIADOR_API_BASE=<INICIADOR_API_BASE> --transport stdio iniciador -- npx -y @codespar/mcp-iniciadorWhat mcp-iniciador does
This MCP server exposes Iniciador endpoints to AI assistants, focusing on Brazilian Open Finance payment initiation (PISP). It provides 9 tools. With them, an assistant can fetch supported banks, create consent requests, or build the authorization link for the payer.
Once the payer confirms consent inside their banking app, the assistant triggers the Pix transfer with create_payment. You can also inspect transaction statuses, list historical records, or attempt cancellation before settlement. To run checks safely, set the base URL to https://sandbox.iniciador.com.br.
Authentication requires credentials issued during Iniciador onboarding. The server will fail without valid keys, and actual Pix-out execution depends entirely on bank-side payer authorization.
What it helps with
- fetch Brazilian banks supported for Pix initiation
- request payment consent from the payer
- build bank authorization URLs for payment flows
- execute outgoing Pix transfers after approval
- check settlement status or rejection reasons
Example prompts for the agent
- Fetch the list of Brazilian banks that support Pix initiation
- Create a payment consent and build the bank authorization link for the customer
- Check the current status and settlement details for payment
