mcp-foxbit — Claude Code MCP server: Foxbit trading tools
Wires the Foxbit exchange into your coding agent: markets, order book, orders, balances, Pix payouts. Useful if you trade there or build against its API.
claude mcp add mcp-foxbit -e FOXBIT_API_KEY=<FOXBIT_API_KEY> -e FOXBIT_API_SECRET=<FOXBIT_API_SECRET> -- npx -y @codespar/mcp-foxbitWhat mcp-foxbit does
The server exposes 21 tools to the agent. Public ones cover trading pairs and currencies, 24-hour ticker, order book, recent trades and candles. Private ones handle balances per currency or across all of them, placing and cancelling orders, your trade and transaction history, trading fees and limits.
BRL moves through Pix: create a deposit, list past ones, send a withdrawal to a Pix key. Crypto can go out to an external wallet address. Every private call is signed with HMAC-SHA256 and carries three headers, one of them X-FB-ACCESS-SIGNATURE.
Two variables drive it: FOXBIT_API_KEY and FOXBIT_API_SECRET, both generated in the exchange's API settings after you sign up and pass KYC. Lose the secret and the signature can't be built, so private tools fail. It runs through npx, which means Node.js on the machine.
What it helps with
- read the order book before placing a trade
- place a limit order straight from the chat
- check balances across several currencies at once
- send BRL out to a Pix key
- look up maker and taker fees for a pair
Example prompts for the agent
- Show me the BTC/BRL order book and the latest trades
- Place a limit buy for 0.01 BTC at the ticker price
- What are my balances and the USDT withdrawal limit?

Questions about mcp-foxbit
How do I install mcp-foxbit in Claude Code?
Run claude mcp add mcp-foxbit -e FOXBIT_API_KEY=<FOXBIT_API_KEY> -e FOXBIT_API_SECRET=<FOXBIT_API_SECRET> -- npx -y @codespar/mcp-foxbit with your own credentials.
What does mcp-foxbit do?
It gives the agent Foxbit API access: market data, order management, balances, transaction history, fees and Pix operations.
Do I need a Foxbit account to use it?
Yes, for the private tools. API key and secret come from the exchange's API settings, and Brazilian residents go through KYC. Market data reads without a signature.
