What GoodWatch does

GoodWatch connects coding assistants to movie and television tracking features. It allows you to search for titles, log watched media, and request personalized suggestions directly inside the chat.

The tool connects over HTTP through the https://goodwatch.app/mcp endpoint. The underlying Remix web application can also be deployed locally in a Docker container on port 3000 or started with npm run dev. Without network access to the remote URL, the hosted MCP service will fail to respond.

What it helps with

  • search for movies and TV series
  • track watched episodes and films
  • receive media suggestions matched to your taste

Example prompts for the agent

  • Suggest a sci-fi TV show based on my previous watches
  • Add the latest movie to my watched list
  • Find drama series released recently
