flippa-mcp — Claude Code MCP server: Flippa deal research
Five tools that search Flippa listings and run the numbers: revenue multiples, ROI, comparable sales, and a buy-or-pass verdict.
claude mcp add flippa-mcp -e FLIPPA_API_TOKEN=<FLIPPA_API_TOKEN> -- npx -y flippa-mcp-serverWhat flippa-mcp does
The server hands your agent the Flippa marketplace: websites, SaaS, stores, apps, newsletters. flippa_search_listings filters by property type, status, sale method and sort order. flippa_get_listing pulls one listing by ID with price, revenue, profit, traffic and seller details.
Then comes the math people usually do by hand at night. flippa_analyze_listing returns revenue and profit multiples, price per visitor, estimated ROI in months, plus a verdict of underpriced, fair or overpriced. flippa_comparable_sales gathers similar listings and aggregates their pricing, and flippa_market_overview gives a market-wide snapshot.
Flippa's listings API is public, so no key and no account are needed to run npx flippa-mcp-server on Mac, Windows or Linux. The install commands for Claude, Codex, Copilot and Gemini CLI do pass a FLIPPA_API_TOKEN variable, so have that value ready before you wire the server up.
What it helps with
- browse Flippa listings by business type and sale method
- work out the revenue multiple and payback period for a listing
- benchmark an asking price against similar businesses
- flag risk from unverified revenue or thin traffic
- read market-wide pricing before listing your own business
