What Drillr — The financial MCP for AI agents does

Drillr connects an AI agent to equity data for companies in the US, China, and Japan. It can resolve a ticker from a company name or description, locate filings, and return reported facts beside the relevant document text. The run_sql tool supports read-only queries against PostgreSQL financial tables.

Its tools cover company lookup, filing search, table metadata, financial data, news, and signals drawn from investor calls. Reported figures are linked back to their source passage. The service uses a hosted Streamable HTTP endpoint. Browser OAuth is the default sign-in path; clients without OAuth support can use an API key instead. Authentication is required before the connection can be verified.

What it helps with

  • resolve a ticker from a company name
  • check a figure in a company filing
  • compare quarterly data with SQL
  • search company and market news
  • inspect signals from investor calls

Example prompts for the agent

  • Find the ticker for a company from its name and explain the match.
  • Check the latest filing for revenue figures and show the supporting passage.
  • Use run_sql to compare quarterly financial data, citing the source for each value.
