What Faable — Deploy & Auth does

The server runs the @faable/faable CLI over stdio and hands your agent access to apps, deployments and logs. Ask why the last build broke and the answer comes from the actual build output. Reads plus deploy_app are on by default — that one builds the newest commit on the platform side.

Add --writes and reversible operations open up: spin up an app from a repo, set env vars, attach a domain, retry or drop a build, adjust deploy settings. Nothing destructive is in the list. Secret values stay hidden, and log output arrives tagged as data rather than instructions — worth knowing when the agent is reading text you did not write.

The server rides on your faable login session. No session, no data. CI setups use OIDC instead and skip the login step.

What it helps with

  • find out why the latest build failed
  • ship the current directory as an app
  • create an app from a GitHub repository
  • check status codes and failing paths
  • block an address with an edge rule

Example prompts for the agent

  • Why did my last deploy fail?
  • Show the last 100 lines of the build log
  • Deploy the current directory to the web app
