EZTexting MCP — Claude Code MCP server: SMS, contacts, reports
Wires your coding agent into an EZTexting account so it can send SMS and MMS, manage contacts, run workflows and pull reports.
claude mcp add --transport http mcp https://mcp.eztexting.com/mcpWhat EZTexting MCP does
One endpoint, https://mcp.eztexting.com/mcp, exposes 38 EZTexting tools. Roughly 3k tokens of catalog, some loaded up front and the rest discovered on demand. Auth runs on OAuth 2.1 PKCE with automatic discovery.
Remote is the way to go for most setups. Claude, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf and Cline speak Streamable HTTP natively, so there is no npm step and no child process. The stdio bridge, a thin wrapper over mcp-remote, exists for clients that cannot reach a remote MCP server — and it needs Node.js 20+.
First connect opens a browser window for the EZTexting sign-in. Tokens land in ~/.mcp-auth/mcp-remote-<version>/<hash>/, and deleting that folder forces a fresh login later. No browser on the machine means the initial handshake fails, which matters on headless boxes and CI runners. Want a narrower tool list? Point at a sub-server instead: messaging, contacts, workflows or admin.
What it helps with
- send an SMS or MMS from the agent instead of the web panel
- look up a contact and move it between groups
- pull a report on messages already sent
- start a workflow from a template and check where it stands
- register a webhook for account events
Example prompts for the agent
- Send an SMS to everyone in the
clientsgroup - Show me last week's message report
- Create a workflow from a template and print its status

Questions about EZTexting MCP
How do I install EZTexting MCP in Claude Code?
For the remote endpoint run claude mcp add --transport http eztexting-mcp https://mcp.eztexting.com/mcp. If your client has no HTTP transport, use the local bridge: claude mcp add eztexting-mcp -- npx -y @eztexting/mcp-server.
What does EZTexting MCP do?
It hands the agent EZTexting tools: messaging, contacts and groups, workflows, reports and webhooks. Everything is served from the single /mcp endpoint.
Does EZTexting MCP need Node.js?
Only the local stdio bridge does, and it asks for Node.js 20+. Connecting straight to https://mcp.eztexting.com/mcp skips Node entirely.
