contract-compass — Claude Code MCP server for Korean procurement law

Decisions come from a rule engine, not from a language model: 94 rules are encoded straight from the statutes, so the same input always returns the same answer. Every tool is LLM-free. Your client does the reasoning, the server supplies the legal grounds you can check.
Eleven tools ship with it. decide_contract_method returns candidate contract methods with the articles behind them; search_law, get_law_article and get_law_article_asof look up provisions, including the version in force on a given date. search_cases and get_case fetch precedents and authoritative interpretations from law.go.kr as they stand now. Three more cover delay penalties, grounds for exempting delay days, and price adjustment when costs shift.
The remote endpoint is https://contract.sallim.app/mcp, free at 50 calls per day per IP, with a paid key raising the cap. Precedent and interpretation lookups need a LAW_API_KEY from law.go.kr. Without an indexed corpus the RAG searches come back empty while the rule wizard keeps working. This is information, not legal advice — passing scores, bid floors and limits vary by contracting authority and by statute revision, so confirm with your contract department before an actual tender.
