email-verifier — Claude Code MCP server: verify and find emails
An MCP server that wires the Verifox API into your assistant, so it can check deliverability and look up business addresses by name and domain.
claude mcp add email-verifier -e VERIFOX_API_KEY=<VERIFOX_API_KEY> -- npx -y verifox-mcpWhat email-verifier does
The server exposes Verifox tools to the assistant. verify_email handles a single address: SMTP deliverability, catch-all, disposable, role and free-mail flags, plus a 0-100 score. verify_emails runs the same checks over a list and returns one result per address.
Lookups work differently. find_email takes a name and a company domain and returns the best match or not_found; find_emails does it for a list of contacts. get_credits reports the remaining Fox Credit balance, and get_job polls long-running work — bulk calls wait about 55 seconds inline and hand back a jobId when they run past that. Cached verifications cost nothing.
You need a foxkey_* key from the Verifox dashboard. Every tool call is authenticated with it, and the account behind the key is the one charged. In HTTP mode the key is read per request from the Authorization: Bearer <foxkey> header, so a single hosted endpoint can serve several users, each spending their own credits.
What it helps with
- check a mailing list before sending
- find someone's work address from name and domain
- filter out disposable and role inboxes
- see how many Fox Credits are left
- poll a bulk job through
get_job
Example prompts for the agent
- Verify deliverability for [email protected] and [email protected]
- How many Fox Credits does this account have left?
