MoonlyBox MoonLink — Claude Code MCP server: notes and memory
Wires your MoonlyBox knowledge workspace into an AI client, so bookmarks, sticky notes, todos and memory entries get saved straight from the chat.
claude mcp add --transport http moonlybox-moonlink https://moonlybox.cn/mcpWhat MoonlyBox MoonLink does
MoonLink is the official Model Context Protocol server for MoonlyBox, a hosted workspace for personal knowledge. The agent can file a bookmark, drop a sticky note, create a todo, save a note or memory entry, and pull a page archive — then search across all of it later with tools like search_bookmarks, search_library and search_memory. The server ships 24 tools in total, from add_bookmark through restore_bookmark.
Everything runs on the hosted endpoint https://moonlybox.cn/mcp over Streamable HTTP, so there is nothing to install locally. Access is gated: either OAuth with browser approval, or a personal access token sent as Authorization: Bearer mk_.... You issue the token in the 「AI 托管」 section after registering at https://moonlybox.cn. No token and no OAuth means the client will not connect.
The repository holds the integration spec and a behaviour template at docs/agentsTemplate.md, meant to be dropped in as AGENTS.md or CLAUDE.md. That template tells the agent when to write to memory silently and when to ask before deleting. Deletion is soft — bookmarks can be restored within 72 hours. The hosted service itself is proprietary; the docs and template are CC BY 4.0.
What it helps with
- save a link as a bookmark without leaving the chat
- jot a thought down as a sticky note before it slips
- create a todo and later convert it into a sticky
- grab a page archive for offline reading
- search your own knowledge base for a note you half remember
Example prompts for the agent
- Bookmark this article and tag it mcp
- Add a sticky note: check OAuth in Cherry Studio
- Search my library for anything about Streamable HTTP

Questions about MoonlyBox MoonLink
How do I install MoonLink in Claude Code?
Run claude mcp add --transport http moonlybox-moonlink https://moonlybox.cn/mcp. The client then needs authorization — OAuth in the browser or a PAT.
What does MoonLink do?
It gives an AI client access to your MoonlyBox workspace: bookmarks, sticky notes, todos, documents and memory. You can both write new items and query what is already stored.
How does MoonLink authentication work?
Two options: OAuth with browser approval, or a personal access token in the Authorization: Bearer mk_... header. Issue the token in the 「AI 托管」 section at https://moonlybox.cn.
