BIGHUB — Claude Code MCP server: decisions for IT actions
BIGHUB evaluates proposed IT actions and returns guidance on running, reviewing, or blocking them. Use it when an agent can change access or system settings.
claude mcp add --env BIGHUB_API_KEY=<BIGHUB_API_KEY> --env BIGHUB_BEARER_TOKEN=<BIGHUB_BEARER_TOKEN> --env BIGHUB_BASE_URL=<BIGHUB_BASE_URL> --transport stdio mcp -- npx -y @bighub/bighub-mcpWhat BIGHUB does
BIGHUB sends a proposed IT action to DecisionBrain and returns a normalized decision. The response indicates whether it can run, needs review or more context, or should be blocked. Evaluation can take earlier actions and outcomes into account as that history builds up.
The main flow uses bighub_decide, bighub_build_packet, and bighub_run_brain; agents can send actions for review with bighub_resolve_review. They can report what happened later through bighub_report_outcome. Run an action only when can_run is true and no blocking flags are set.
The server requires Node.js 18+ and BIGHUB_API_KEY. It is designed for consequential IT actions such as granting Okta access or changing CI/CD settings, rather than question answering or read-only lookups.
What it helps with
- evaluate an IT action before execution
- send a proposed change for human review
- fetch system context for an action
- report an outcome for later evaluation
Example prompts for the agent
- Evaluate an Okta access request with
bighub_decideand wait for the decision before applying it. - Check this proposed CI/CD change and send it for review with
bighub_resolve_reviewif needed. - Report what happened after this action with
bighub_report_outcome.

Questions about BIGHUB
How do I install BIGHUB in Claude Code?
Run claude mcp add mcp -e BIGHUB_API_KEY=<BIGHUB_API_KEY> -e BIGHUB_BEARER_TOKEN=<BIGHUB_BEARER_TOKEN> -- npx -y @bighub/bighub-mcp. Replace the placeholders with your API key and bearer token.
What does BIGHUB do?
It evaluates proposed IT actions and indicates whether they can run, need review or more context, or should be blocked.
What does BIGHUB need to run?
It requires Node.js 18+ and BIGHUB_API_KEY. The Claude Code setup also takes BIGHUB_BEARER_TOKEN.
